Ariela Krevat: design & direction

Ariela Krevat is an Art Director and Graphic Designer with a focus in boutique-level brand building and visual communications through interactive media. As an artist well-versed in the functionality of dynamic technology, she aims to utilize the seemingly unaesthetic character of "code" in such a way that does not mask the system, but rather presents it in a visually appealing way. In this regard, everything from initial user interface models to published sites are designed to enhance the brand, and bring results.

Ariela is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in Middle East Studies and Graphic Communications. She likes to travel (be it in her backyard or around the globe) look at and/or make art, attempt to learn other languages, cook abnormally large dinners, and hone her domestic skills.

To keep busy Ariela spends her days freelancing in New York City. In the past, she has worked as a designer and developer for an Omnicom marketing agency, and with the Washington University Student Technology and Resource Support center. She has also taught a series of professional development classes in both Digital Illustration and xhtml/css web development.

Ariela has formerly served as an infrequent contributor and editor for various online 'fringe' news weblogs, reaching an audience of over 20,000 a week, and has been published in Washington University's Student Life.
